Iron & Honey was built by a man who has spent more than three decades making things.
Cars. Motorcycles. Architecture. Furniture. Metal. Interiors. Workshops. Projects that demanded invention, precision and the confidence to figure things out when there was no instruction manual.
He has designed, built, taught, repaired, rebuilt and passed those skills on to others for most of his life.
That experience is the foundation of the Bottega.
When you come here, you are not walking into a staged workshop or being handed a craft kit. You are stepping into the working world of someone who has spent a lifetime learning how things are made — and how to teach others to make them.
Some places teach from a syllabus. This one teaches from a life.
WHEN THEY COME HOME
When tragedy first strikes, everyone shows up. The phone keeps ringing. Food arrives. People ask what they can do.
Then the weeks pass. The calls become less frequent. The world moves forward—but for the person who has returned home, the real journey may only be beginning.
Israel’s soldiers return from service carrying experiences that cannot simply be left behind. Some return to jobs and families. Others return uncertain of where they belong, what they can do next, or how to reconnect with ordinary life.
Iron & Honey was created for what comes after.
We are building a community where returning soldiers can work with their hands, learn alongside others and rediscover confidence through the satisfaction of making something real.
We build people by building things with them.
WORKSHOPS
The first step does not always need to begin with a plan. Sometimes it is simply walking into a welcoming room, sitting beside other soldiers and making something.
Our hands-on workshops include woodworking, metalwork, automotive and motorcycle repair, home improvement, cooking, candle making and other traditional crafts.
These experiences offer something immediate: concentration, companionship and the pride of completing something tangible. There is no pressure to explain what happened or to define what comes next. Participants are welcomed as capable people with something meaningful to contribute.
MASTER COURSES
For those ready to take the next step, Iron & Honey offers practical master courses taught by experienced professionals.
Courses in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, repair and property maintenance provide real, marketable abilities. Each program combines professional instruction with hands-on experience and, where applicable, recognized certification.
The goal is not simply to occupy someone’s time. It is to help each participant develop skills that can create independence, purpose and a new professional future.
WORK
Training must lead somewhere.
Iron & Honey’s long-term vision is to create a national network of trusted, professionally trained veteran handymen and women. Customers will be able to call one central number and receive reliable home-repair services at a fair price.
The person arriving at the door will not be defined by what happened during the war. They will arrive as a trained professional—qualified, dependable and ready to work.
Every service call will do more than repair a home. It will create dignified employment while giving Israelis a meaningful way to continue standing beside those who served, long after the public attention has faded.
